Mirabai Chanu won India's first gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. The star weightlifter clinched the gold in the Women's 48 kg category with a record-breaking total lift of 190 kg (85 kg in Snatch and 105 kg in Clean & Jerk). This was her third consecutive Commonwealth Games gold medal and it opened India's gold medal account at the 2026 Games.
