On 6th June 2025 Prime minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the world's highest railway arch bridge 'Chenab Bridge' built on the chenab river in jammu and kashmir.

- Length of the brigge is 1.31 Km

Cost : The Total construction cost of the bridge is 14.86 Billion Rupees ( about 180 million dollar )
Location : On the Chenab River part of jammu-baramulla railway link
Constructed by : afcons Infrastructure, VSL India, Ultra Construction (South Korea)
It can resist earthquakes up to 8 magnitudes on the Richter scale. and also can withstand winds up to a speed of 266 km/h.
Bridge connects Kauri and Bakkal areas of Raisi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Project approved in 2002 latter in 2017 its construction started and completed in August 2022.
First trial run successfully conducted in June 2024.
Opening for rail Traffic : took place on 6th of June in 2025
