Know About Swachhata Pakhwada (Launched by Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region)

1. Launch and Duration:

• Swachhata Pakhwada initiated by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) at Vigyan Bhawan (Annexe), New Delhi.
• Running from May 16th to May 31st, 2024.

2. Inaugural Ceremony:

• Team MDoNER took the Swachhata Pledge during the inaugural ceremony.
• Led by the Secretary, MDoNER, the pledge emphasized commitment to cleanliness activities and spreading the message of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

3. Focus Areas:

• Adoption of best cleanliness practices in all aspects of life.
• Stress on sustainability of Swachhata initiatives throughout the year.

4. Planned Activities:

• Community awareness programs on eco-friendly initiatives.
• Discouragement of plastic use.
• Waste management initiatives.
• Plantation drives.
• Street plays (Nukkad Natak).

5. Implementation:

• Regular cleanliness inspections across all MDoNER divisions and office premises.
• Voluntary clean-up activities (Shramdan) to maintain cleanliness.

6. Objective:

• Reflects MDoNER's commitment to promoting Swachh Bharat within the organization and wider community.
