1) WJP Rule of Law Index 2025
The World Justice Project (WJP) released the Rule of Law Index 2025, measuring rule of law, human rights, transparency, and justice system quality.
The rule of law weakened further in 68% of countries.

Denmark topped the index, followed by Norway, Finland, and Sweden.
China ranked 92nd; Pakistan 130th; Afghanistan 142nd; Venezuela 143rd.
2) Indian Navy Commissions Survey Vessel ‘Ikshak’
The Indian Navy commissioned SVL-class survey vessel ‘Ikshak’ at Naval Base Kochi on 6 Nov 2025. Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, Kolkata, it is the third in the SVL series with 80%+ indigenous content. Designed for coastal and deep hydrographic surveys in ports, coasts, and navigation channels, ‘Ikshak’ (Sanskrit: “guide”) is deployed with the Southern Naval Command, Kochi.

3) Jannik Sinner Wins Rolex Paris Masters 2025
Jannik Sinner (Italy) won the 2025 Rolex Paris Masters (Paris, France), defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada) in straight sets. It is Sinner’s fifth title of 2025, taking him back to ATP World No. 1.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar received the World Peace and Security Leader Award (2025) from Boston Global Forum (BGF) and AI World Society (AIWS) for contributions to global peace, reconciliation, and humanitarian leadership. He is the founder of the Art of Living Foundation.

5) Delhi Zoo Reports First EMCV Fatality in Indian Zoos
The only African elephant at the Delhi Zoo died due to Encephalomyocarditis Virus (EMCV) — reported as the first such fatality in any Indian zoo. EMCV causes inflammation of heart and brain muscles, potentially leading to heart failure, and is primarily rodent-borne (rats, squirrels). It was first identified in 1945 in a gibbon in Florida.
6) Nepal’s 300-Year-Old Kartik Naach Concludes at Patan Durbar
Nepal’s historic Kartik Naach festival concluded at Patan Durbar (Lalitpur). Also called ‘Katti Pyakha’ (Kartik’s play), it began in the 17th century under King Siddhinasimha Malla and depicts episodes from Lord Vishnu’s avatars (e.g., Narasimha, Vastraharan). It is a key cultural marker of the Newar community.

India is 3rd globally in clean industrial project pipeline (after China and the US), per the Industrial Transition Accelerator (ITA) report released at COP28. India has 65 projects in the pipeline, concentrated in Odisha, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan, mainly across chemicals, steel, cement, aluminium, and aviation.
9) ICGH 2025: International Conference on Green Hydrogen
The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) will host ICGH 2025 on 11–12 Nov 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Focus: production, policy, finance, markets, and applications in refining, fertilizer, steel, chemicals, aviation, and shipping. The event supports India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission (launched 2023).
