Samrat Chaudhary Becomes Chief Minister of Bihar
Samrat Chaudhary has been appointed as the new Chief Minister of Bihar. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was previously serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state. This leadership change came after Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Notably, Nitish Kumar had taken oath as the Chief Minister for a record 10th time on 20 November 2025 and has been the longest-serving Chief Minister of Bihar since November 2005. He has now been elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha.

The Punjab Assembly has unanimously passed the Jagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Reception (Amendment) Bill 2026. Under this strict law, desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib can lead to life imprisonment and a fine of up to ₹25 lakh. The Guru Granth Sahib, compiled in 1604 by Guru Arjun Dev Ji and later declared the eternal Guru by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1708, is the supreme spiritual guide of Sikhism. It contains 5894 hymns composed in 18 ragas.
Cancer Research Using Tribal Herbal Knowledge
